Terms of Use
These are the rules for using Klyp. By creating an account, or by opening a share link and leaving feedback, you agree to them. We've kept them short and plain.
1. What Klyp is
Klyp lets a person share work (designs, videos, PDFs and more) through a link, and lets the people they share it with comment, record voice notes and approve it. Klyp is run by its founder, Saidutt, from Hyderabad, India (“we”, “us”).
2. Beta
Klyp is in beta and free to use right now. Features may change, and things may sometimes break. If we start charging, we'll tell you clearly before you pay anything, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 to create an account.
- Give a real email address and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Reviewers don't need an account. Only use your own name when you leave feedback.
4. Your work stays yours
You (or the people you work for) own everything you upload and write in Klyp. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to the people you share it with, only so we can run Klyp for you. This permission ends when you delete the content, apart from short-lived backup copies.
Only upload work you have the right to share.
5. Share links
Anyone who has a share link can see what it shows, with no login. You decide who gets your links, so share them carefully and turn them off when they're no longer needed. File downloads in Klyp unlock after approval, but this is a workflow feature, not a security lock. Don't upload anything that must stay strictly secret.
6. Approvals
An approval in Klyp is a record of what someone clicked and when. It helps you and your client agree on the work, but it is not a signed contract. Agree on prices, payments and rights with your client separately.
7. Things you must not do
- Upload anything illegal, hateful, sexual content involving minors, or content that harms or harasses someone.
- Upload other people's work without their permission.
- Upload viruses or harmful code, or try to break into accounts, links or our systems.
- Send spam, or use Klyp to collect people's data without their knowledge.
- Overload Klyp, scrape it, or copy it to build a competing product.
We may remove content or close accounts that break these rules. Where it's fair and possible, we'll tell you first.
8. Your data
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
9. No guarantees
We work hard to keep Klyp running and your work safe, but Klyp is provided “as is”, especially during beta. Keep your own copies of important files. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses (such as lost income or lost clients), and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem (which is ₹0 while Klyp is free).
10. Ending
You can stop using Klyp any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut Klyp down, we'll give account holders at least 30 days' notice to download their work.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell account holders about important changes before they apply. If you keep using Klyp after that, the new terms apply.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to your local courts. Please write to us first at contact@getklyp.com; most things can be sorted out with an email.
